Practice
Practice will vary depending on your event coach. Coach Coats will have the weight room open after school to do some strength training workouts. Once we start the 2nd semester practice will be at 2:40 PM on A days and 1:15 on B Days.

Train Heroic
This is an app to help communicate what the workouts will be. Each event will have a specific code to get access to find out the workouts. Coaches will post workouts on there so you can see what the workouts are.

Gear
We will be doing track gear/swag as we get towards the end of January/beginning part of February for those that want gear. That way we can have it here when outdoor track starts up.

Track Class
We will be having a "track class" 8th period during the second semester. This is a sports conditioning class that we will be using on B days to have practice. Practice on A days will be after school (time may vary depending on the event coach but likely around 2:40 PM).
If you are in Fit for life and not this class, you can switch out of fit for life into this class and still get credit for fit for life (you need to let coach Coats know you need the credit though).

Cost:

Nov. 4th - Nov 9th - Banquet Week

Great week of training guys. Thanks for those who have been coming to practice and continuing to work hard. If you are signed up to go to NXR and would still like to go I suggest you get to practice. We will not take you if you have not been coming to practice. Those that are going we need you to fill out a release form which needs to be filled out and signed by your parents and emailed to NXR. So please download the NXR Release form, fill it out, and email it to NXR.Waivers@nike.com ASAP.

Next week info regarding specifics on NXR will be posted but we need one more parent to help drive the 12 passenger van down to NXR. Thomas Jardine's Dad will be driving but would like another parent to help with the long drive. Please contact coach Brower if you are willing and able to help drive the van down. Thank you! If you are going to NXR please pay your $200 to Marie Spackman via Venmo @emspackman.

We have our banquet coming up this Thursday night. I need to turn in the head count by Monday afternoon (tomorrow) so if you haven't filled out the banquet form please do so NOW or we won't have food for you at the banquet. If you are bringing parents, please pay in the main office into the cross country account for them ($10 a parent).  Also this is the last call for pictures from the season if you have them. Please add them to our 2019 XC Photo Album.

For the banquet this week, if you would like to help with setup, decorations or would like to help donate to cover the cost of some of these things, please contact Marcia Mitchell: 801-455-8478.

This week we are still training so follow the schedule below:

Monday November 4th - 3:15 PM @ FHS
7:15 PM @ FHS Auditorium NCSA Night - We have a wonderful opportunity to have a rep from NCSA come and talk to our school about the FREE services available from NCSA that will help our team make connections with colleges (of all locations and sizes). I would highly recommend everyone who can attend to do so, even if you aren't sure that you are capable to run at the next level. There are tons of college teams out there and you never know what their standards/requirements are to run for them. There are so many neat FREE features that you will learn about here so please come. This is not just for seniors but 9-12 graders! This is not intended to sell you anything, more of an education night for college recruiting. COME!

Oct. 28th-Nov. 2nd

We had a great week at the state championships this past week as our boys team made history being the first program in Farmington history to win a state championship. Our boys were 1st and our girls also brought home some hardware with a 2nd place finish. What an incredible finish in our second year as a school. Big shout out to everyone who helped take part in this week with the team dinner on Tuesday, the cheering section (which was the best one there) and those who raced. Thank you thank you thank you for all of your hard work. Let's keep building the legacy here at Farmington that will continue for many years to come.

If you have any pictures from State or any other meet this year, please add them to our team photo album so we can get going on the banquet video.

Sept. 30 - Oct. 5th

Awesome awesome job to everyone at Park City on Friday this past week. We had a lot of great performances and despite being at a higher altitude we had people running faster than they have all year on a 3 mile course. Congrats to our Girls Varsity team for taking first not only in the PM race we went to but for taking first still with the meet merge from the AM race. Big shout out to our very own Elisabeth Ferrell for winning the individual girls varsity title. Our boys finished 2nd behind a good American Fork team. Our girls JV team took 2nd and our boys team won the JV team title. Congrats to Matthew Neuenschwander on the individual JV boys title. This is the fun part of the season. Keep up with all of the little things we harp on all the time (nutrition, hydration, sleep, rolling out/stretching). We have  a week break this week with no race so we have 2 weeks to prepare for the region 5 championships. Please make sure you are at practice everyday this week and next so you can do your best at the region championships.
