Feb. 24th - Feb. 29th - First Week of Outdoor Track

Outdoor is officially here. We are T minus 2 and a half weeks away from our first meet. If you don't have your ELIGIBILITY done by March 3rd. Then you will not be participating in track with us this year. PLEASE get it done! Let's also make sure we are coming to practice every day. We are taking attendance so please make sure you scan out with a coach on a laptop before you leave practice. If you are going to miss please make sure you talk to your event coach about it. If you miss more than 5 times, you're off the team.

We have a team store going on that will remain open until Tuesday Night (the 25th) at midnight. If you would like to order something please get it ordered and in so we can get the order going to get our gear for the season. This is totally optional. February 17th - February 22nd

Alright guys, this is the last week of indoor track. Let's start making sure we are at practice every day. Outdoor track starts next week and that is when our absent policy will come into affect. For those who haven't heard, our attendance policy will be the following: Attendance to track practice must be a priority. We will start taking attendance after practice is finished through scanning your ID with your event coach at the conclusion of your workout. Those who miss more than 5 times without approval from a coach will be removed from the track and field team.

We need your help to get your friends out and make sure they are coming to practice. Thanks to those who are always there and to those who have turned all their eligibility in. If you haven't done your eligibility yet, please get it to coach Brower ASAP. Go to the ELIGIBILITY page for info on what needs to be done.

If you need a physical but don't have one scheduled, We will have a Spring physical day on March 2nd at the high school wrestling room at 6:30 PM for $25. All funds go back to our school. Cash or Card accepted.

We also have our TEAM Shop up and running. This is run through Marcia Mitchell who is helping put this together and it allows you to purchase gear online. You can get whatever you want but you are not required to get anything. This is the order for track swag and gear for this season. The shop will run through Friday and then we will submit the order. Please go on and complete your order by Friday at 11:59 PM to ensure you get track gear.

This season we are also going to do a separate track shirt for parents/family/friends or athletes for only $10 (this is entirely separate from the online team store). We are starting to take orders now so if you are interested in one of these shirts fill out the 2020 Track & Field t-shirt order form. We need to know who wants a shirt by Friday February 28th. Forms submitted after will not be guaranteed a shirt.

Distance Mileage: You should increase your mileage 10% from last week so you should be at 100% on your weekly mileage. Talk to a coach if you need some help knowing how much you should be running.

Feb. 10 - 15th - Simplot Games

Great job to everyone who competed at the distance challenge on Friday. Results can be found at Utah Distance Challenge. This week we have a great week of training ahead of us as well as the Simplot Games in Pocatello. If you are competing you will need to find your own ride up. If you haven't registered yet, well it's too late so you just plan on training this week. We are a month away from our first outdoor meet. Please make practice a priority and let's get going. If you haven't paid your $50 for indoor track please do so into the track account at the office.

I need eligibility done and turned in this Wednesday for outdoor track. Please get it in as soon as you can. THANKS!

February 3rd - February 8th - Utah Distance Challenge

Great job to everyone who competed this past weekend at Weber State. The results can be found HERE. This week there is another meet at the oval. This one is called the Utah Distance Challenge. This will only have 4 events: 400m, 800m, 1600m, and 3200m. If you would like to compete, you do not need to register early. Registration will take place at the meet. I will pay for you to compete so just plan on showing up Friday if you want to compete and we'll get you signed up.

If you haven't paid your $50 to the office into the track account for indoor track please do so ASAP.

We are coming up on official outdoor season very soon and we need to make sure the eligibility things are taken care of. Please go to the Eligibility page and complete those 4 things if you haven't already. I need those 4 things done by Wednesday February 12th. Please don't wait to get these things done.

**Those wanting to go to the Simplot games next weekend in Pocatello are able to do so but you will need to find your own ride and sign yourself up. There will not be a bus going up or anything like that it will all be on your own. Registration deadline is this Sunday (Feb. 9th) at 4:00 PM.
