Cross Country 2022

Phoenix,

Summer XC is right around the corner, and I'm really looking forward to it. Practices will begin for the entire team on Monday, June 13th at 7 AM on the west side of the track. Honestly I wish it were tomorrow, but this will allow for everyone to have a much needed few weeks off after the track season, heal from any aches and pains, and be ready for a great 10 weeks of summer training.

If you were unable to attend the meeting on Wednesday, I've included the main points below.

If you haven't yet, please register for summer xc by filling out this summer xc form (this is the same one from the meeting on Wednesday, so need to do it again if you already have.). This will add you (student/athlete and parent/guardian) to our email list.

For those new to Farmington XC, we will be holding a "rookie" mini-camp Wednesday-Friday 6/8-6/10 at 7 AM at the same place. The purpose of the rookie practices is to help you get an idea of what practices will be like and it will help us coaches know how to tailor the workouts for you once we get going into full practices. These 3 days will be simple and won't be designed to completely exhaust you, but rather give you a preview of what is to come. I would also like to have a few "veteran" runners (those with experience at FHS XC) to come help at the mini-camp and show some of the younger kids the ropes.

If you can come during those 3 days, as a rookie OR as a returner who would like to help, please fill out this mini-camp form so we know who to expect.

And finally, I'm going to order everyone who participates in Summer XC a technical T-shirt with our logo on it. I intended to put a shirt size question on the registration form, but I wasn't able to in time. So, for our 3rd form of the day, go ahead and fill this one out so I can get you a shirt ordered. I'll  make an order on Wednesday of next week, and for anyone who misses that deadline I'll make a second after we officially begin.

I'm looking forward to getting started and getting to know all of you.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach me at bjacobson@dsdmail.net
