4/2 Update - Winter Break: the sequel

Phoenix,

Winter Spring break is upon us, although for those staying in Davis County it's beginning to look a lot like Winter break 2.0. Regardless, I hope it is a good break for each of you and that you come back mentally refreshed for the final push.

If you are heading out of town for the break, enjoy it! Whenever possible we of course recommend you get a workout in. Your coaches will put together some suggested workouts and they will be posted  in your respective groupme.

If you are sticking around, I'll try to get a group together for practices at least twice, but the weather doesn't look super cooperative at the beginning of the week. We are tentatively planning for Tuesday/Thursday around 10, but check your groupme for any changes - Wednesday/Friday might be better.

Uniform Fees

You should see a new fee on your account (in addition to the $20 transportation, $35 school, $35 district, and $5 drug testing) for your uniforms. The uniform top is $55 and the bottom is $18 or $20. These uniforms will be yours to use over the years.

After the break

On Wednesday 4/12 we are going to be playing host to Layton and Weber in a region tri-meet. Those not racing at the Phoenix invite are going to be asked to help run events and work the meet. The job assignments for that meet will be posted early next week (I have them 90% finished). That meet shouldn't go that long as Weber has a meet that Monday/Tuesday for part of their squad, and all 3 team are racing on Friday at our invite. We will need everyone's help with things like hurdles, because we just don't have enough kids not competing that day to make it go quickly without everyone stepping up to help.

Which brings me to Friday 4/14. We will be hosting our invitational, which will be our biggest fundraiser of the year. Those of you who aren't competing that day will be expected to help. That meet will go fairly long, similar to the super meet, so plan accordingly with food, beverage, and attire. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can work together in putting on one of the best meets of the year. There are something like 20 schools coming (with limited entries so it doesn't go all night), so we will have our hands full. Please be at your job position ready to be called upon in a moment's notice.

Again, I hope you have a great spring break. I'll check my email on occasion if you need anything. I'll miss you all and look forward to re-uniting on 4/10, rain, snow, or shine.
