Phoenix,
Because I'm behind in sending this, I'm going to send out the essential info, then I'll add some meet recap after sending out the initial post. If you're interested in checking up on that feel free to come back to it later today or tomorrow.
Border Wars Recap
First, every single person who raced on Saturday ran a faster pace than from a week ago. Every single person! 34 people ran a faster TIME than a week ago, on a course that was nearly 400m longer! What's more, the average pace per mile for the girls was 34 seconds faster, and for the boys it was 26 seconds - PER MILE. That is impressive. Some of it was the temperature, the course, and the competition, but the lion's share was your speed and fitness. Love to see it.
Considering the above stats, it's pretty obvious there were some great races, both individually and as a team. We had 14 people place in the top 15 of their respective races. The senior girl's came away with a win, and the Varsity boys finished in second place overall in the Championship race, which was great to see. Spencer Bradshaw kept his undefeated streak going, running away from the field after about a mile and a half.
Moving forward, our training will continue to funnel towards more race specific speed and endurance as we are now 5 weeks from the state championships. Only 2 weeks from the region championship. Time is winding down quickly! Make the most of each day, and enjoy it!
Please take a moment to fill out your paces from the last race: Border Wars Paces

NXR Southwest
As we get nearer to the NXR trip, I'll need some help booking hotels and transportation. Any parent who is willing to help, either by helping book hotels or even if it's just to drive a small group (if we don't get a bus we'll need to carpool), just shoot me a quick email. You can find info on NXR here
Bob Firman
Below are the entries I have for Bob Firman. The deadline is Monday at 12:00PM, so if something is wrong please contact me ASAP.
Looking forward to another great week!
