Spring Break

We had a great showing at our meets this past week and had some great performances. Congratulations to the following athletes for already qualifying for state based on their times this week:
Marianne Barber - 100 M - 12.92
Katelyn Morgan - 400 M - 58.43
Elisabeth Ferrell - 3200 M - 11:10.65, 1600 M - 5:10.45

The girls placed 4th as a team at the Davis district championships and the boys placed 6th (only 7 points out of 4th). We were going up against some great competition this week and the teams beating us are the best in the entire state. For our first year we are off to a great start. I was very proud to be a Phoenix. Thank you for not only representing our school well but for having great sportsmanship and representing our school well with your behavior. We have the best kids and let's keep it that way.

I still want to emphasize that when we ride the bus to meets you need to ride the bus back or talk to one of the coaches. Please don't just leave because I don't know where you are and it makes it hard to keep track of you when you just leave. Let's not make it a habit of leaving meets early.

With Spring Break upon us we will meet a few times for those of you who are still around. If you are not in town please get in some workouts (we will post some workouts below for you to do/talk to your event coach). Just as a heads up our next meet will be a home meet on April 10th. That is the Wednesday after we get back from Spring Break. This meet is for the entire team. We are going to need all the help we can get to help our home meets run smoothly. Monday April 1st - 8:30 AM @ Farmington High School

Tuesday April 2nd - On Your Own

Wednesday April 3rd - 8:30 AM @ Farmington High School

Thursday April 4th - On Your Own

Friday April 5th - 8:30 AM @ Farmington High School

Saturday April 6th - On Your Own

Please don't just take this week off or you will feel it when we get back next Monday. Please get some type of workout in if you are gone on vacation. Thanks for all you do Phoenix.
