March 4th-9th

We are well under way with our season. If you are interested in doing track you need to complete your ELIGIBILITY ASAP. I will post a list Monday of everyone who has done their RMA and who is cleared to compete and who is still missing stuff. I need this done no later than Wednesday. If you need a physical still, you can go on Tuesay night to the Layton IHC and get one done for $25 from 5:30-6:30 PM (all proceeds go back to our school).

Also this Tuesday we will be having a sports psychologist, Chuck Miller, come and do a presentation for us. It will be from 6:00-6:45 PM. We will do it in the commons at the school. You and your parents are welcome to come and attend if you feel like that would be beneficial for you.



We need to make sure something is very clear. All those in the track class, just because school ends at 2:20 does not mean that practice is over. We will likely be going after the bell rings for school to end. You need to make sure you stay for all of practice and not just when school ends. I was not happy with the fact that most everyone left on Friday when school ended and only a handful of kids stayed to help us with the track shed. That cannot happen again. Please make sure you don't have any plans right after school on days we have track class.





Here is the practice schedule this week:

Monday March 4th: - 2:40 PM @ HS Weight room
*Vaulters with Coach Petty
*Hurdlers with Coach Brower at 2:40 PM - Then you'll work out with sprints after
*High Jumpers with Coach Brower at 3:30 PM - Still come at 2:40 to work with sprints first
*Long Jumpers will workout with Coach Lever today.

Tuesday March 5th: 1:10 PM (8th period) practice @ HS Weight Room
*Hurdlers and High Jumpers with Sprints
6:00 PM at FHS Commons - Sports Psychologist Chuck Miller

Wednesday March 6th: - 2:40 PM @ HS Weight room
*Javelin with Coach Betker
*Vaulters with Coach Petty
*High Jumpers with Coach Brower at 2:40 PM
*Hurdlers with Coach Brower at 3:30 PM

Thursday March 7th: 1:10 PM (8th period) practice @ HS Weight Room
*Hurdlers and High Jumpers with Sprints
*Javelin with Coach Betker
*Vaulters with Coach Petty

Friday March 8th: - 2:40 PM @ HS Weight room

Saturday March 9th: TBA
