5/21 update

Phoenix,

Congratulations to you all on a great season. We wrapped it up this week at the state meet. I want to give a particular shout out to those of you who came one or more days to support. You being there to support was a huge boost to the team. My dream down the line is to have everyone attend. We'll be sure to have a bus both days in the future.

There were so many great performances at state, including 5 new school records:

Skye Siddoway - 1600m, 5:04.21

Katrina Hirst - 100H, 15.36

Spencer Bradshaw - 3200m, 8:57.06 (Top-10 in the USA)

Bode Jensen - 400m, 48.92

Tanner Crosland - 300H. 39.38

We will have a more full season recap at our Banquet tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. I hope you all can make it.

Now for some season ending items:

Team Banquet

The team Banquet will be Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. We'll have dinner, awards, and generally enjoy each other's company for the final time with this group.

Last track class period - extra credit

The last track class period is on Tuesday. You do not need to attend class, but it will be worth 5 extra credit points if you come help put equipment away and clean out the shed. You will need to be there right at the beginning and stay the entire period. Please note that tomorrow has a different bell schedule, and the class will be before lunch.

Cross Country

For those interested in doing cross country this year we will be having a parent meeting TODAY, Monday, AT 7 PM in the Farmington High Choir room - best to park on the west side of the building. The choir room is located just north of the cafeteria and south of the gymnasiums.

If you are interested in signing up for summer training, please fill this form out: 2023 Farmington Cross Country Summer Training Registration

You can also view this page if you have more XC questions.

Junior Phoenix Track Camp

We will be hosting a track camp for kids June 15-17 at the high school track. We will have two days of practices followed by 1 day of a time trial (which will be much more organized than last year, and we'll use our timing system).

The proceeds for the event go to our program, so if you can come help I'd really appreciate it. I can't do it alone, obviously, so we can use all the help we can get. Ideally we'd have several of you for each event group, ready to help kids learn each event.

Super-seniors are allowed to come help.

If you're interested in helping please fill out this form.

As always, if you have any questions please let me know.
