Cross Country Camp Information
Meet at FHS at 12:30 on 7/28
Depart from Washington Lake Campground at 11 AM on 7/31
Where - Washington Lake Group Campground (Hoover)
Cost - Still to be determined, but somewhere around $100-150, which will cover the campsite and food That number will be finalized in the coming weeks, once we know who is coming
Athletes Attending
The unfortunate thing is that we are only allowed 50 people in this campsite - next year we will jump on a bigger site, so that we can guarantee everyone a spot. Being our first time doing an xc camp, I was late to the game. If you would like to attend camp, I need to know. Please indicate your interest level, what days you could be there for, and give me anything else I would need to know in the form at the bottom of this page.
Because of our numbers limitation, priority for athletes attending will be based on a variety of factors, including, but not in this order: availability to attend, consistency in attending practices this summer, disciplinary issues, attitude, seniority, etc.
Because we will be away without service for several days, only athletes who have proven to have exemplary behavior will be allowed to attend.
Again, next year we will plan on a bigger site and get the whole squad that is able, to come.
Parent Help
We need help from parents in various ways, but namely through travel. In the form below I'm going to ask if you'd be willing to drive a group up and/or home, and how many seats you have for passengers.
I would also like a couple of parents there at any given time to help as chaperones and camp chefs (not the brand, the person). We'd love for you to run with us too while you're there. We cannot guarantee that all of you will be able to come, unfortunately, so we appreciate your understanding.
If you would like to stay over at camp the whole time, only half of the days, or stay for a day only, please fill out the form below. For that form, I'll just have you write out your availability and preference so we can see what we can make work.
Those interested in coming for just a day, if we arrange a carpool so we don't go over vehicle numbers, we could probably get a few more people there.
