The season is in full swing, and we have a quick turn around to race again on Wednesday. I'm writing this before Border Wars, but I'm confident it went well, and I know there will be some great performances.
District
Looking ahead to this week on Wednesday, we are hoping to have another great showing at the District Championships, put our best foot forward, and really show where we are. The district meet gives us about a month until region, so it will be an important step for us.
This race is only 2.75 miles, so a bit shorter than normal. We have the entire district there so the competition is awesome. The course is different than most of the courses we see, and is overall a very fun event. I honestly cannot wait!
The meet is at Layton City Park, but schedule is a bit different than originally posted. It is below.

We won't be bussing to this meet (even though we have the money for it... (this is a joke based on my overcharge....) but once we get all those refunds processed, then we won't have the money for it...)
Transportation Fee error
The following message was sent to the parent chat on Thursday:
"PARENTS. I made a huge fee mistake, and it's embarrassing
because I was asked about the charges by a few of you and didn't realize my
error until at least the third time. And I'm so sorry. Allow me to explain:
The transportation fee should only be $25 NOT 180. My only guess is that I
typed an extra "0", when I calculated the costs, and meant to do 18,
based on our numbers last year, which were slightly higher.
So, if you've paid for transportation, you need to be refunded!!
Here are the options, credit to your student's account, or wait for several
weeks for a check to be mailed in the amount. Either way you'll get the full
$155 in return.
If you want the check mailed, please contact the office, otherwise the credit
will be applied.
Again, I am so sorry. I'm embarrassed about it because it would make me crazy
in your shoes."
If you would like a check, please call the office and let them know, otherwise, on Monday I'm going to ask the secretaries to begin the applied credit process, which will move to your student's account very quickly.
